Belgian air Force published!

Published by MKG under Rules

Today I’ve added to the Rulepack and to the download section the rules of the Belgian Air Force. This is one the squadron list for brave commanders – no modern planes, no deadly AA cannons and just the courage as the backbone! And of course during the campaign you may launch and command one of these ill-famous Fairey Battle raids!

Soviet two-seater Hurricane model

Published by MKG under Join us!,News

Do you remember converted Soviet two-seater Hurricane rules (exclusive contest for Discussion Group members)?

I would like to announce, that model of it (I made a conversion) was produced in very limited quantities as a special item. It was beautifully casted by Mark Cleaver from Raiden Miniatures. You will not buy this model at all – it will be sent only for the best Sturmovik Commander contributors or as the very special prize! Of course Mark has a couple at his disposal, but not for sale!

Here you may see more photos!

New units in the Rulepack and ‘Formations’ update

Published by MKG under Rules

After little fine-tuning, both competition (RAF Tubinlite squadrons and Lieutenant Jorma Sarvanto) entries have been added to Sturmovik Commander Rulepack. You may get it from our Download section.

I’ve also update “Formations” module. This update (ver. 1.501) brings some changes to these – IHMO underestimated – rules. Now their are much better fitted to the Sturmovik Commander 1.5 edition and all problems known to me  has been eliminated.

The winner

Published by MKG under News

I’ve received just two – but excellent – submissions to the competition. Both of them are nicely done, both are interesting and both requires little  balancing. After a long thinking I’ve decided that the winner is… Tony Stapells and his “Tumbinlite squadrons”!

I’ll add this material to the Rulepack as soon as I return from the short holidays in the end of June.

The Finnish Air Force Lieutenant Jorma Sarvanto

Published by MKG under Rules

Below I present the first (of two) entries to our Legendary Pilot/Unit competition – The Finnish Air Force Lieutenant Jorma Sarvanto rules written by Eero Juhola.

I kept the original text. I’ll publish the second work and announce the winner within a few days. As soon as possible I’ll balance the rules slighty and add to the Rulepack!

Salute!

Published by MKG under Rules

I wish to let you know, that 5th “team” mug has been sent a week before Easter. Mark Cleaver from Raiden Miniatures become honorary member of our development team! Raiden Miniatures sponsor our second competition, but it wasn’t direct cause of my decision.

One year ago I was looking for the sponsor of our competition and in case of the most miniature companies (of different sizes) the answer was negative at best. Telling the truth I was nearly completely ignored.
Suddenly the help came from the least expected direction – Raiden Miniatures. Small, emerging, ambitious, “after hour” company. Mark proposed the really nice prize (battle set) and wrote that there is always worth to support the hobbyist. Of course I offered him the banners at all articles connected with competition – at least that I could do! Remember, that in this time the Sturmovik Commander was barely known system, less than 9 months after première.
Now Mark still wants to support us and sponsors the next competition. And this believe in success of our project was the cause of sending the mug for him.

Salute!

Soviet Hurricane artilery spotter conversion

Published by MKG under Rules

A few days ago I wrote the rules of uncommon Hawker Hurricane modification made in 1942 by Soviets. As this variant was quite exotic and do not fit to the Rulepack, the .pdf file is available as exclusive contest for Sturmovik Commander discussion list members. Of course you may join it and participate for free.

RAF Revisited

Published by MKG under Rules

The last of the starting squadron has been revisited! Now the full might of Royal Air Force is at your command, ready not only to crush Germans but also Japanese!

This is the hugest and most complicated squadron list update we has done since the release the Sturmovik Commander. In fact it is rather completely re-done document! It introduces the Commands system (announced in RNFAA list), which gives the player countless possibilities of composing squadrons. Also it nearly doubles the types of the plane available and allows usage RAF in Pacific/Far East theatre of war.

Download and enjoy!
